Thank you for your interest in the Teach & Inspire Scholarship Program. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Next application deadline: April 30, 2009
If you missed the last deadline, we do still encourage you to apply as soon as possible. We review applications on a rolling basis and will contact you regarding your application to let you know the next steps in the process.
Eligibility
Our program has a few important requirements. If the items below describe you, then you are ready to apply and take an important step toward a classroom of your own.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from an accredited college
- You are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- You do not have a renewable teaching license
- You are ready to commit to three years in the classroom in a high-need district
- You are not already enrolled in the ABCTE certification program
Application Materials
When you apply, include the following:
- Application form. Don't forget to sign it
- Two essays (maximum one page each)
- Recommendation form in a sealed signed envelope
- Official transcript from the university/college granting your Bachelor’s degree
- Unofficial transcripts from any other community college/university/college(s) you attended to earn your Bachelor’s degree
Your application is not complete until we receive all of the required materials via postal mail.
Application Process
- We will review your materials and contact you within 8 weeks
- If you meet the competitive requirements, your next step is a phone interview. This is an opportunity for us to get to know you better and to discuss your commitment to teaching
- If you are selected to receive a scholarship, you will have 15 days to accept. At this time, you will pay a $200 processing fee to begin the program
