Through Passport to Teaching, you can teach in charter or private schools in the District of Columbia. Consider our preferred employers as you look for a teaching position.
Choose the subject area you wish to teach:

- Special Education (K-12)
- United States History (6-12)
- World History (6-12)
- Reading Certificate (K-6)
We recommend you contact any schools where you are considering applying for a teaching position. Some may have additional certification requirements.
Public Schools
We're sorry, but the District of Columbia does not currently accept Passport to Teaching for state certification.
