Scholarships to Teach in High-Need Schools
On the first day of the 2007-08 school year 1,263 classrooms throughout
Florida and Mississippi lacked teachers.
Teach & Inspire recruits, certifies, places, and supports highly effective new teachers of diverse cultural and professional backgrounds in high-need school districts and subject areas to ensure success for all students.
Teach & Inspire provides program participants with a $650 scholarship to earn their teacher certification prior to entering the classroom. Once a teacher, participants receive an $1,000 stipend to help ease the transition period into the classroom.
The application deadlines for applicants interested in joining the 2009 Teach & Inspire cohort are:

November 15 (final deadline)
