What is the best way to begin studying fot the PTK? Should I just take all of the practice exams, or what does everyone suggest?

Thanks!

I first began reading through the standards and they did not make any sense to me. Then I started taking the all of the practice quizzes, I bought the extra quizzes in the Plus Package. I read "First Days of School" by Harry Wong. That helped, but it wasn't 100% perfect. I went through the workshops as well. There were about 4 stats questions and quite a few Special Ed questions so brush up on those topics. Be familiar with Bloom's Taxonomy! And keep taking those quizzes. Once you take them a few times, the standards will start making sense. If you have time before the actual test, take each standard and apply it to a scenario. It may seem like a lot but it will help you on the test. As for the writing, watch the video and practice the prompts they give you there, practice the 2 from the practice tests, and if you still need practice, purchase the writing packet. It contains 2 more writing prompts.

I followed the 90 day study plan and did not deviate from the materials provided by ABCTE in my package - You will find lots of suggestions if you take a look at former posts.

Good luck!
