The American Board is a non-profit organization dedicated to placing qualified teachers in classrooms. We offer an alternate teaching certification program that is a much more affordable and flexible alternative to going back to school for your Master’s degree.
We offer certification in the following subjects:
And the following states:
The average American Board student completes the program in 7-10 months. 96% of our students that complete the program and see it through from enrollment to testing, pass with their certification.
WHY CHOOSE THE AMERICAN BOARD?
The American Board is a self-paced, self-guided program. This allows you to study for our exams on your own time instead of following a strict class schedule. In fact, many of our students work full-time jobs while completing our program.
The majority of our students are “career changers,” those that began their careers in a field outside of education and would now like to serve in the classroom. We also work with those fresh out of college and former educators that took a break (perhaps to raise their children) and are now ready to teach again.
Our certification program is also much less expensive than going back to school for your Master’s degree. We offer certification for less than $3000 in most states.*
The American Board does not have a campus. Instead, you study for your exams wherever you would like and test at your local Pearson VUE testing center. This allows our students flexibility to complete our program from anywhere, even outside of the United States!
